When country girl Mitsumi gets hopelessly lost on the way to her Tokyo high school's entrance ceremony, a fellow student sees her and offers to help.

Mitsumi gets invited to sing karaoke with Shima and some of their classmates. Mika tells her not to take Shima's kindness too seriously.

After school, Mitsumi heads to the student council room and encounters her studious and standoffish classmate Kurume loitering in front of the door.

Desperate to recruit Shima for the drama club, Kanechika shows Mitsumi footage of Shima’s childhood acting and asks her to help convince him to join.

Mitsumi joins her class volleyball team for an upcoming competition. Terrible at sports, she seeks training from Mika, who is strict from the get-go.

Fumi claims she has fallen in love. Later, Mitsumi receives study materials for an important exam but worries about Shima, who is absent from class.

After seeing how disappointed Takamine is at losing the election for student council president, Kanechika tries cheering her up with a movie.

On a hot summer day, Mitsumi and Shima meet up at the zoo for their promised outing. Mika decides to sneakily follow them — and so does Nao.

Mitsumi visits her hometown and enjoys reuniting with her family and her friends from junior high before returning to Tokyo for a new school term.

Shima reluctantly agrees to act in a musical his class will perform at the school festival. Mitsumi takes on more duties than she can handle.
