Dark Gathering

Keitaro, an introverted college student with spiritual powers, takes a part-time job as a tutor for a girl whose abilities greatly exceed his own.

Along with Eiko and Yayoi, Keitaro visits the shrine where his grandmother serves as priestess — and haunted dolls dwell beneath its treasure house.

Leaving behind a frightened Keitaro, Eiko and Yayoi head to a temple where a vengeful goddess and the spirits of children are said to reside.

With Yayoi in tow, Keitaro and Eiko go to their college orientation. Eiko convinces Keitaro to join her in attending a class on scary urban legends.

Keitaro attends a welcome party for his college's travel club. But when its leader invites him to an after-party, he suddenly gets a strange feeling.

The trio goes on a riverside camping trip. That night, after making a promise with Keitaro, Eiko witnesses a ghostly figure fall from a bridge.

After Keitaro decides to help Yayoi gather spirits, Eiko drives them to a famously haunted spot: a road tunnel where ghosts of women often appear.

Keitaro begins tutoring a cutesy and clumsy high schooler named Ai. But he soon learns that her lack of luck makes her an easy target for ghosts.

As the group tries to flee from a powerful ghost, Keitaro and Yayoi suddenly find themselves trapped in an elevator with the spirit's victims.

In need of a way to catch the god that wants to marry Ai, Yayoi suggests touring haunted spots throughout Japan to capture more powerful spirits.
