The Romance of Tiger and Rose

When Chen Xiaoqian's script hits a roadblock, she winds up trapped inside her story of ancient warring cities as the imperiled princess Chen Qianqian.

Stuck within her screenplay, Xiaoqian must see it through to the end to escape. As events start unfolding differently, she has to save Han Shuo's life.

Xiaoqian changes Qianqian's destiny by showing remorse for the character's arrogant behavior. Han Shuo has a change of heart, but Xiaoqian remains wary.

Han Shuo schemes for power and learns a secret about Huayuan's royal family. Xiaoqian continues to frustrate Han Shuo's plans with her unpredictability.

Lin Qi undermines Qianqian's chances to succeed her mother in favor of her sister Chen Chuchu. The third princess tries to gain Han Shuo's trust.

Huayuan's ruler believes Han Shuo used Qianqian to get the city's prized Dragon Bone and wants to punish him. Xiaoqian makes a sacrifice to defend him.

Xiaoqian faces public outcry over stealing and using up the Dragon Bone. Later, when misfortune strikes Huayuan, she's made the scapegoat.

Uninterested in becoming the crown princess, Xiaoqian halfheartedly prepares for the selection process, while Han Shuo urges her to take it seriously.

Despite her lack of training and ambition, Xiaoqian participates in a kung fu competition as part of the crown princess selection.

Xiaoqian's surprised by the pronouncement of the new crown princess. Tensions flare between her and Han Shuo, as well as with Chuchu.
