A Sign of Affection

When deaf college student Yuki struggles to communicate with a foreigner asking her for directions on the train, a familiar face comes to her aid.

After Yuki lip-reads Itsuomi speaking to some girls in another language, she begins to wonder if he only talks to her out of curiosity.

At the café bar, Itsuomi peppers Yuki with questions about her hearing condition. When a female friend of his shows up, she starts to feel jealous.

An excited Yuki heads out to meet up with Rin, Itsuomi and Kyouya, but her high spirits are suddenly dampened when she runs into Oushi on the train.

Itsuomi brings a nervous Yuki back to his place, where they learn more about each other. They are interrupted when Emma suddenly rings the doorbell.

Yuki is shocked when Itsuomi tells her he will go overseas until after spring break. Later, he asks her a surprising question in sign language.

Hoping to someday travel overseas with Itsuomi, Yuki looks for a part-time job but has little luck. Later, she catches up with Oushi and his sister.

Shin congratulates Yuki and Itsuomi on their relationship, but he worries how Emma will react — and if this could be his chance to make a move on her.

Yuki and her friends go on a sign language study trip in the mountains. An excited Rin hopes to take the opportunity to get closer to Kyouya.

Yuki struggles to relax while spending the night at Itsuomi’s apartment. Later on campus, Oushi confronts Itsuomi about his relationship with Yuki.
