Wistoria: Wand and Sword

Magic academy student Will can’t even cast basic spells. While exploring a dungeon, he encounters his classmate Sion struggling against a monster.

The academy is abuzz with talk of how Sion defeated a powerful monster. Knowing what really happened, Professor Edward gives Will a special test.

After seeing an academy-wide order from Lady Elfaria, Will heads into the dungeon to gather monster parts and meets a fellow student named Iris.

The academy students get excited about an important magic festival. Later, a haughty schoolmate walks into the Dwarven tavern where Will works.

Determined to defeat Julius in the Grand Magic Festival and defend the Dwarves' honor, Will joins Colette and Sion to compete in a team event.

Sion continues to attack his teammate Will, sparking mixed feelings among the spectators. Reluctantly, Will decides to face him head-on.

Julius confidently uses Elfaria's illusion magic to confuse Will. But Will, who is familiar with the spell, mounts an unexpected counterattack.

Impressed by Will’s swordsmanship, his peers eagerly invite him on a dungeon raid, but Colette says he will go shopping with her instead.

The All-Student Praxis begins. Although Will's talented teammates have no difficulty with the dungeon's monsters, they begin to see him as a burden.

After Wignall opens up about his feelings of inadequacy, he and Will encounter some powerful fire monsters whose only weakness is elven magic.
